Over Yonder's music was born in the American South, but shaped by a lifetime of traveling the world. Singer/songwriter Jeff Pedersen grew up in North Carolina, but somehow ended up way out in the country on the west coast of Norway, after living in New York, London, and stints in Morocco and Tunisia. He's kept his Southern roots, but his travels have taught him a lot about people and the meaning of "home." Their themes of longing, heartbreak, loneliness, and the desire to find a home are the foundation of bluegrass and traditional country songs, but are also shared by every other immigrant, wherever they're from. Their songs are deeply personal and bleed into different genres - they try to tell a story through our music, wherever that leads them.
